Abdlmecid I, Abdul Mejid I, Abd-ul-Mejid I or Abd Al-Majid I Ghazi (Ottoman Turkish: 'Abd'l-Mecd-i evvel) (23/25 April 1823 - 25 June 1861) was the 31st Sultan of the Ottoman Empire and succeeded his father Mahmud II on July 2, 1839. He is very skilled in melee fights. However, after the 1894 earthquake, the crown princes apartments were damaged, and two new pavilions, known as the "Hareket Pavilions", were constructed.
